Inspector comments: No violations were observed during today's routine inspection. However, EHS observed large outdoor refrigerated trailer from company Storage-in-Motion located in the back exterior of the facility (locked with a code). PIC stated that they purchased this unit about 3 months prior, as they were running out of space in their WIF to store their frozen foods, and purchased this for extra space. PIC stated that they are planning on keeping this unit until their brand new facility has completed construction by their projected date of September 2027 (2416 STEVENS MILL ROAD, MATTHEWS & 2021 INDEPENDENCE COMMERCE DRIVE, MATTHEWS) . Upon further discussion, it was brought to EHS's attention that the facility receives food delivery for their frozen food items once every 3-4 months, to which EHS recommended facility increases their delivery frequency as this exterior freezer trailer is not approved as a permanent cold holding unit. EHS stated that MCPH will make another visit to ensure the freezer trailer has been removed off of the property before their next routine inspection, and also advised checking food temperatures kept inside this unit onto their current daily cold holding temperature logs for the WIF and WIC.

No violations were recorded for this inspection.
