15A NCAC 18A .1828 (d) Housekeeping carts shall be kept clean and stored to protect items from contamination. Observed brooms stored with debris side up over clean cups and items for rooms on house keeping carts. Needs to be stored to protect items from contamination.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (f) Physical facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed large stain in hall carpet near room 319. Manager stated that they are in the process of installing new carpet.

Tighten loose toilet seat. Observed loose cabinet door at hinge area in 419. Repair cabinet door. Observed damaged lamp shade in 308;replace. Observed water stain on ceiling in far corner of room 219. Monitor stain on ceiling and address any leaks and repaint area of ceiling.

Observed furniture in lobby area stained/soiled(couch). Thoroughly clean furniture in lobby area or replace----> informed by general manager furniture in lobby will be replaced soon.

15A NCAC 18A .1828 (d) Items on housekeeping carts shall be arranged in a manner to prevent cross-contamination between soiled and cleaned items. Observed housekeeper personal belongings stored touching clean linen on 2nd floor. Observed cleaning item stored over clean linen on 1st floor. Store employee personal belonging in designated area and not near clean linens on house keeping cart. Store cleaning supplies(brooms,cleaning products) away from clean linen on house keeping cart.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (h) Furnishings, bathroom fixtures, carpets, and other accessories in guest rooms, shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed toilet seat loose in guestroom #318; Observed carpet in need of cleaning in guestroom #500, #123; Observed Ice bin lid in need of replacing in guestroom #207 due to staining; Observed ice bin lid dirty in guest room #500. Observed head board having stain in need of removal in guestroom #406.

NO POINTS DEDUCTED 15A NCAC 18A .1827(g) A storage area shall be provided for building and ground maintenance tools and supplies and stored in a manner to avoid contamination of food and food contact surfaces, linen, and single-use articles. Observed clean bulk linen stored with bulk chemicals in storage room in laundry area.

Observed beds made without 6 inch fold over blanket (which is not washed between guests). **Two sheets shall be provided for each bed. The lower sheet shall be folded under both ends of the mattress. The upper sheet shall be folded under the mattress at the lower end and folded over the cover for at least six inches at the top end. 15A NCAC 18A .1812 (c).
