General Comment:
Drinking fountains shall be provided with adequate water pressure and be properly regulated (i.e. water pressure should be regulated so that an individual’s mouth does not come in contact with the nozzle and so that the water does not splash on the floor). 15A NCAC 18A 2406 (b).
Observed 2 fountains on 3rd floor with low pressure. Needs to be adjusted.

Observed one sink not operating in a boys and girls bathroom on the 2nd floor. Observed sink not operating in boys locker room. Observed one sink not operating in the girls 3rd floor restroom. Needs repair. REPEAT VIOLATION.

Observed stained ceiling tiles in room 312. Needs to be checked for leaks and repaired/replaced. REPEAT VIOLATION. Points not increased because this was only observed in one classroom though it is the same classroom on previous inspection.

All storage shall be at least 15 inches above the floor or otherwise arranged so as to permit thorough cleaning. 15A NCAC 18A .2411.
Observed storage on floor in dance room and not arranged to permit thorough cleaning, but arranged in a manner where one could not walk into storage room. Needs cleaning/organization.

Observed cleaning wipes, aerosols, and spray cleaners labeled “Keep Out of Reach of Children” stored accessible to children in multiple rooms throughout the building. Needs to be stored as directed on the manufacturer label to avoid health hazards.

Lavatory facilities shall be provided and installed as required by the N.C. State Building Code. 15A NCAC 18A .2409 (a). Observed several spring loaded faucets sporadically throughout school building in both girls and boys restrooms with short run times of approximately 2 seconds. EHS advises school to have spring loaded faucets run times adjusts to a minimum of 15 seconds to allot proper handwashing.
