Inspector comments: C. Elmore is in receipt of the following e-mail regarding the treatment of the pool for the Crypto incident noted in the last visit.
"Katie:
I have confirmed with both Mark Houff and Mike Gillis (Our Service Manager) that the pool was successfully treated per the CDC Guidelines for loose stool contamination.
After your visit, we reduced the Cyanuric Acid level to ZERO using a Cyanuric Acid Reducing chemical. Once that had been achieved, we super-chlorinated the pool to a level of 30 ppm for a period of 48 hours. Once that time had elapsed, we allowed the chlorine level to reduce slowly and re-balanced the pool the week of 10/23.
At the time of your inspection and our response, the pool was closed for the season and the pool was not re-opened for swimming.
Thanks
