Inspector comments: POOL IS NOT APPROVED FOR NIGHT SWIMMING. NO SWIMMING AFTER SUNSET OR BEFORE SUNRISE. IF NIGHT SWIMMING IS DESIRED, CONTACT C. ELMORE TO SCHEDULE A NIGHT SWIMMING EVALUATION.
POOL DOES HAVE A HIGH CHLORINE READING, IT IS ADVISED THAT THE CHLORINE BE LOWERED AS A LEVEL ABOVE 10 IS GENERALLY NOT DESIRABLE. CHLORINE WAS NOT HIGH ENOUGH TO WARRENT CLOSURE AS A HAZARD, BUT DO NOT LET CHLORINE LEVELS CONTINUE TO RISE AS THEY MAY REACH A HAZARDOUS LEVEL.
SUBMIT THE ENGINEER'S LETTER REGARDING THE MAIN DRAIN COVERS TO KATIE WILSON (704-340-7247) WITH MCHD BEFORE 5PM ON 7/2/19 SO THAT CORRECTION REGARDING MAIN DRAIN COVERS CAN BE APPROVED.
STICKER WAS ISSUED.

#6 · Submerged suction outlets meet ASME/ANSI A112.19.8-2007. Single drains protected. (.2537, .2539) GPM= ____Field verification complete=____ −6
Observed the latest PDSC form to be inaccurate. The form along with emails regarding the form from the person completeting the form indicated that the skimmer equalizer lines had been plugged according State Recommendations. Upon arrival it was found that this was not the case, 2 of the lines were plugged inside the skimmer with 6HP dummy covers and 1 of the lines was plugged inside the skimmer and also on the pool wall. The 2 lines with dummy covers are not plugged according to State Recommendations. C. Elmore assisted in filling out a new PDSC form for the pool. -CDI In this process it was found that the main drain covers are not Aquastar 914101 (560GPM) as stated on the current PDSC form, but are Aquastar 1216101 (460GPM). This correction was also made to the new PDSC form. The engineer's letter regarding the sumps for the main drains must be corrected to reflect the correct main drain covers that are installed. No Permit Action taken at this time, however if a corrected engineer's letter is not submitted to the Health Department and approved before 5pm on 7/2/2019 the permit will be suspended until the letter is submitted and approved. Vacuum Line portion of PDSC form was also corrected as the pool was built prior to 2010 and has 3 skimmers.
#16 · Premises: fence or barrier with self-closing, self-latching gates properly constructed and maintained −4
Observed some areas of the fence to be lower than 48 inches. 44-45 inches in some places due to landscaping. Fence is not to current specifications. No Permit Action taken as fence was built prior to 2010.

Inspector comments: POOL CLOSED FOR VGB VIOLATION AS EQUALIZER COVERS ARE LISTED AS 3 ON THE PDSC SHEET BUT THERE ARE ONLY 2 EQUALIZER COVERS PRESENT IN THE POOL. THESE COVERS ARE NOT SUFFICIENT TO HANDLE THE PUMP FLOW WITH ONLY 2 AQUASTAR 6HP COVERS. THIS CAN BE RESOLVED BY EITHER INSTALLING NEW COVERS THAT WILL HANDLE THE FLOW RATE, OR BY PLUGGING THE SKIMMER LINES AT THE POOL WALL AND AT THE EQUALIZER LINE OPENING INSIDE THE SKIMMER THAT LEADS TO THE POOL WALL. PROVIDE AN UPDATED PDSC FORM TO CHRISTOPHER ELMORE WITH THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT THAT REFLECTS WHAT CHANGES ARE MADE SO THAT THE FORM CAN BE APPROVED. (704-507-6814)
POOL CANNOT CURRENTLY OPEN FOR SWIMMING.

Observed the PDSC on file with Mecklenburg Health Department not to represent what is present in the pool. The most current PDSC information indicates that the pool has 3 Aquastar 6HP covers at 122GPM. Field inspection shows there to only be 2 Aquastar 6HP covers.
#16 · Premises: fence or barrier with self-closing, self-latching gates properly constructed and maintained −4
