Inspector comments: Intent to Suspend issued for the following:
.2518 - set pump to meet flow range at 72 gpm to 126 gpm - pump speed shall not have an expiration time.
.2537 - repair deck damage on left side of pool near tv area.
.2524/.2537 - adjust pool signage to indicate dusk or schedule additional site visit for night swimming approval.
Pool is not approved for salt as primary chlorination.

Skimmer baskets with clothing and empty water bottles/debris. Ensure emptying to ensure filtration system is working correctly. Corrected during the inspection.
#15 · Premises: body hook and ring buoy with throw rope or lifeguard with rescue tube provided and properly located −6
Ring buoy beckets out of place and rope extremely tangled. Length at less than 45 ft. Untangled and corrected during the inspection. Keep ring buoy and rope accessible at all times in case of emergency.

Damage to deck on left side of pool at bench near tv. Opening/offset >1/2". Repair damage to deck. Intent to Suspend issued.
Cracking of deck on right side of pool (sun shelf side) near handicap lift. Monitor. If worsens, repair.

Pool signage indicates night swimming - 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. If seeking night swimming approval, an additional site visit is required or signage shall be changed to indicate 10:00 am to dusk or before dark. Intent to Suspend issued.

Pump setting speeds do not meet minimum turnover. Pump settings shall not expire at 12:00 am. Pump flow required at 72 gpm to 126 gpm to meet turnover and flow restriction of the filter. Intent to Suspend issued. Set pump to ensure range is met.

Inspector comments: Inspection conducted with Scott Wessel with Edgewater Pools to verify emergency phone was corrected. Verified all construction items corrected.
Conducted operational inspection with CPO Christian Olmeda.
Flow required at 72 gpm to 126 gpm to meet turnover and flow restriction of the filter. Observed flow at 98 GPM after a backwash.
No demerit items or issues observed.
Difficult to access hose bibbs in the restrooms. Recommend adding an access panel to allow for easier access.
Facility planning to install push bars and card readers on gates. Ensure that gates fail closed or are tied to a battery backup system. Ensure no openings > 1/2” within 18” of the push bar. Will need an electrical permit from Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement and a passing inspection.
Facility planning on installing a liquid chlorination system. Ensure that all chemicals are stored in the chemical storage room and that automatic chlorinator shuts off when the pump is off.
Custom signage at the gates does not meet requirements. Ensure generic signage remains in place or any new signage meets requirements in .2530 of the NC Pool Rules.
