Inspector comments: #46. If a mat is used, it shall be of a waterproof, washable material at least two inches thick. Section 17 (a). Observed mats in play pens not 2 inches thick. EHS advised owner that EHS must advise home daycare to adhere to manufacturer’s instructions with playpen that only allots for the mat that playpen came with. Owner has the blue/red sleeping mats and will start using them over the play pens.

Inspector comments: #23 - All toilet fixtures shall be clean and in good repair. Section 12 (a). Observed cracked toilet bowl lid in downstairs toilet. PIC stated that the toilet is undergoing renovations and she is replacing everything with new fixtures, toilet, sink and shower. This is a repeat violation but no point taken due to the remodel plan.

Observed the child sized adaptable toilet seat with dried urine. **All toilet fixtures shall be clean and in good repair. Section 12 (a).General Comments: Observed the hot water at the restroom hand washing sink was only 82F. Increase water temp. and maintain between 90-110F. Observed the door to the restroom near diaper changing station was locked/gated. Make restroom accessible for hand washing after changing diapers. Observed toys were stored on shelving below diaper changing surface. Recommend relocating toys to prevent contamination.
